A bit over a year ago I released an album "Icarus" that was sort of a culmination of my recent interests at that point: A growing interest in synthesizers, recording, an ever-growing collection of instruments (I think there are 20-30 instruments on that album or something). That album contains no software instruments, every sound comes from recording instruments and an enormous amount of multitracking guitars, saxophones, synths, harmonium and various other things I had lying around.

Today my new album "Auroragazer" is released, which is a counterpart to that album in many ways. It's also heavily inspired and thematically centered around outer space, and is also a way for me to just put a lot of my recent musical interest into something.

These interests are basically the complete opposite though. As a contrast to the heavily acoustic, very physical and tactile previous album, this one is instead extremely digital, processed and the like. Perhaps this came from a recent interest in digital sound generation, digital eurorack modules and focused sound design, whatever it is, the album is incredibly different from the last; more aking to a complex, glitchy EDM/IDM album than anything.

The majority of the sounds on the album have their starting point in my ever-growing eurorack modular system, with a high mix of analog and digital modules, and then a very heavy amount of post-processing.
